(Re)creation

Today was a good day. I realized my concept of shooting a short film at Rinaldi Park. I hope it turns out good.

Lady Gaga, Cunningham, and Barney

So much Chris Cunningham influence as well as influence from Matthew Barney as far as art direction and movement. I prefer to watch this with the sound off. This is visually awesome, but christ this song is terrible.

Clever CD packaging

Zinkplaat is a South African pop blues rock group that have a pretty cool sound. To be honest, I haven't heard much, but I was so intrigued by their packaging I sought out to look for their music online, which is kind of hard to do. Their album Mooi Besoedeling translates to "Beautiful Polution." I'll see if I can find the album online somewhere.

THEM CROOKED VULTURES

Saw these guys on Tuesday. Unfortunately this is the only photo I have of
them. Damn good show.

30 years of Moca

Moca was celebrating it's first 30 years, and in honor of that was receiving visitors free of charge from the 15th-20th. These are some photos I took on my phone.

Lucky 9Teen

Thoroughly excited for this release. Over the past year my ears have been filled with swirling, off-beat, icicle-dripped, multi-colored prismatic textures of sound, and one of my favorite producers of this new movement, has to be Mike Slott. Mike currently resides in New York City, but has allies worldwide on the forefront of the advancement of beat creations. I haven't listened to "hip-hop" in a bit, and when I say that I am referring formulaic beat measures. I suppose my mind has been craving more gallant other-dimensional beat music. Can't wait for this one. Click title for track off new ep.
